Deciding whether to start hormone replacement therapy (HRT) after menopause can be very confusing. But this article suggests that if you have gone through early menopause, HRT may be recommended to reduce your risk of heart disease. Although they are unsure of the exact reason this occurs, if you have gone through early menopause it would certainly make sense to be screened for heart disease risk and consider HRT to reduce those risks.
